Your Employer
Our client is a family-owned egg producer based near Kalbarri on WA’s Coral Coast. Producing eggs since 1992, their vertically integrated business includes a Kalbarri-based layer farm and packing shed, and a Perth-based distribution centre. With around 70,000 layers and a strong focus on bird welfare, egg quality, local feed inputs and practical farm improvement, the business continues to grow and innovate.

To support their ongoing growth in the industry, a dedicated Farm Manager is now required to oversee and support layer farming operations in Kalbarri.

The Role
This newly created Farm Manager role takes day-to-day ownership of the farm operation, leading the team, organising workflows and improving systems across production, maintenance, animal welfare and biosecurity.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead, organise, support and develop farm team members.
  • Set clear expectations, delegate work and build accountability.
  • Monitor flock performance, egg production, feed and bird health.
  • Oversee shed operations, egg collection, feeding and environments.
  • Coordinate maintenance, breakdown response and contractors.
  • Maintain strong animal welfare and biosecurity standards.
About You
Our ideal candidate is a dedicated, practical and capable farm leader who knows how to get the best from people while keeping standards high. Poultry experience is valuable, but strong intensive livestock, hands-on farming or livestock operations experience will also be considered.

Key requirements include:
  • Proven people leadership and team organisation skills.
  • Poultry, intensive livestock or other relevant farming experience.
  • Practical mechanical and maintenance understanding.
  • Confidence to make decisions and solve problems independently.
  • Ability to improve systems, workflows and accountability.
  • Willingness to be hands-on when livestock or operations require it.
The Benefits:
This is a genuine opportunity to step into a significant farm leadership role, shape the way the operation runs and make a visible impact across people, production and business stability. The role offers a coastal lifestyle in Kalbarri, flexible roster options and accommodation support for candidates relocating to the region. Other benefits include:
  • Competitive salary package
  • Family-sized accommodation provided in Kalbarri
  • Work vehicle supplied
  • Flexible roster to suit your lifestyle
  • Poultry-specific training courses provided
