Step into a high-impact day shift leadership role in a fast-growing fabrication business
Enjoy competitive hourly wages in a stable role located in Hope Valley, Perth
Lead from the front in a hands-on workshop environment — not a desk job
Founded in 2012, Allspec Engineering Pty Ltd is a Hope Valley-based, results-driven fabrication business supporting Australia’s major mining and industrial sectors.
At Allspec, we back our people, promote from within, and create real career pathways. This is a business where performance matters, standards are high, and the opportunity to grow is real.
Allspec Engineering Pty Ltd is looking for a full-time Workshop Supervisor (Day Shift) based in Hope Valley, Perth. Reporting to the Workshop Superintendent, you will oversee day shift operations — ensuring production targets are met, teams are effectively managed, and projects progress safely.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on supervision, coordination, and accountability — not working on the tools.
Your responsibilities include:
Supervising day shift workshop operations to ensure production targets are achieved
Leading and directing fabrication teams to maintain workflow, pace, and quality
Coordinating handovers between the night and day shifts to ensure continuity
Driving safety-first behaviours and ensuring compliance with WHS and ISO standards
Monitoring team performance and maintaining accountability across labour hire teams
Supporting QA/QC processes, including inspections and fabrication standards
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet project timelines
To qualify, you will need to be a trade-qualified Boilermaker with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in heavy structural steel fabrication, and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a workshop environment.
Additionally, the following will be highly valued:
Strong leadership experience in workshop or manufacturing environments
Ability to manage diverse teams, including labour hire workforces
Solid understanding of fabrication processes, timelines, and productivity expectations
Knowledge of WHS practices and workshop compliance requirements
Forklift licence and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
You will be a confident and assertive leader who can hold teams accountable, maintain standards, and ensure work is completed to expectation.
Circa $60/hour
Stable, Perth-based role (no FIFO)
Monday to Friday day shift schedule
Opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a growing business
Strong pipeline of fabrication projects
Career progression opportunities within operations and leadership
If you're a strong workshop leader ready to take ownership of a critical shift and drive performance where it matters most, we want to hear from you.
